Base Pay Range

$25.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Job Description

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep hospital grounds safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities include snow and ice removal, maintenance and repair of non-clinical electrical/mechanical equipment, and general groundskeeping duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Use equipment to sweep walks, driveways, and entrances daily to keep these areas clean and safe. Order materials and supplies as required through the Lead Groundskeeper.
• Mow lawns and water trees, shrubs, and grass as needed.
• Seed, weed, cultivate, and trim edges of planted areas periodically.
• Remove snow and ice from driveways, walkways, and entrances, using salt and chemical melting agents as required.
• Keep parking areas clean and free of debris, snow, ice, and rubbish. Empty trashcans daily.
• Maintain, lubricate, and clean groundskeeping equipment; store all items securely and safely.
• Perform daily cleaning of loading dock and compactor areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Perform related duties as required.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment weighing up to approximately 100 lbs.
• Acceptable corrected visual acuity required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; background in landscaping, gardening, or botany preferred.
• Minimum of three years maintaining lawns, shrubbery, and grounds, including seeding, pruning, snow removal, and exterior cleaning.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand and follow instructions.
