Job summary

Coastal Building Maintenance in Miami is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior grounds, ensure safety, and keep landscapes attractive for properties we service. The role involves mowing, trimming, trash removal, weed control, and basic irrigation checks, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varied weather, and work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping experience preferred.

• Ability to safely operate basic landscaping tools and equipment.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior grounds, sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and other outdoor spaces.
• Remove trash, leaves, branches, and debris from grounds and exterior areas.
• Sweep sidewalks and entrances; mow lawns and trim shrubs.
• Inspect grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance concerns.
• Safely operate landscaping equipment and follow safety procedures.

Position Summary

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall condition of the exterior grounds and landscaped areas of assigned properties. This position performs routine grounds maintenance and assists in keeping outdoor areas clean, attractive, and safe for employees, clients, visitors, and the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior grounds, landscaped areas, sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned outdoor spaces.
• Remove trash, leaves, branches, and other debris from grounds and exterior areas.
• Sweep sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other exterior surfaces.
• Mow lawns, edge grass, trim shrubs, and perform basic landscaping duties as assigned.
• Remove weeds from landscaped areas, sidewalks, and other exterior spaces.
• Water grass, plants, trees, and landscaped areas as required.
• Assist with planting, mulching, and general landscape maintenance.
• Inspect grounds for safety hazards, damage, irrigation problems, or maintenance concerns.
• Report unsafe conditions or needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment in clean and safe working conditions.
• Safely operates approved landscaping and groundskeeping equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist with other cleaning, grounds, or facility-related duties as assigned.
• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance practices preferred.
• Ability to safely operate basic landscaping tools and equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must follow all CBM safety policies, procedures, and client/site requirements.
