Job summary

Peterson Properties, Inc. seeks a dependable groundskeeper for Wilshire Apartments to keep our communities clean, safe, and welcoming. This full-time role involves outdoor maintenance, litter removal, snow/ice tasks, and basic repairs on site.

Qualified candidates should be able to multitask, manage time well, and pass a background plus drug screen. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working outdoors in property maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to meet physical demands including walking, standing, stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and multi-task effectively.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Background and drug screening must be completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Daily removal of litter and trash from the community grounds.
• Distribute notices and flyers as needed.
• Report safety issues and property damage.
• Assist with snow removal and application of ice melt.
• Perform light checks for building exteriors, hallways, and common areas.
• Assist with quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist with make ready repairs in vacant apartments.
• Assist with moving large appliances on the property.
• Water flowers and trees that aren't covered by sprinklers.

Requirements

• Experience working on pools is preferred, but not required
• Ability to use iPad or smartphone is required
• Ability to meet physical demands including constant walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work
• Successfully complete background and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required

Compensation is based on experience.
