Lakeside Chautauqua seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, parks, and flowerbeds in a resort setting. You will be involved in planting, weeding, watering, mulching, pruning, and interacting with Lakeside guests while supporting the grounds team.
The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance, and operation of irrigation systems and landscaping equipment. A high school diploma and a valid Ohio driver's license are preferred requirements.

This person is responsible for maintaining all the Lakeside Chautauqua grounds, parks and flowerbeds in a resort setting. The team member is responsible for all phases of public garden maintenance and development: planting, weeding, watering, mulching, pruning, and interacting with Lakeside guests.

Maintain clean and safe walkways, parking areas, roads and public spaces by removing debris, leaves, hazardous limbs, plowing snow, shoveling snow, treating slippery surfaces with salt or sand, cleanup storm damage and assist with seasonal cleanup.

Experience in Grounds is preferred but not required, a high school diploma or its equivalent, and a valid Ohio Driver’s License is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to pleasantly greet the public while on a job site.
Ability to apply the basic math concepts.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk;
use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, climb or balance;
specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and material up to 50 pounds with assistance will be provided. Must be able to move tables and chairs with assistance. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, etc. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
