Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is hiring for a groundskeeping role focused on outdoor maintenance, irrigation, and basic repairs. The position entails working at multiple sites, performing lawn care, pruning, planting, and debris removal with a team-driven approach.

You will operate and service basic grounds equipment, follow safety protocols, and may drive to various customer sites as needed. Competitive hourly pay and full-time hours are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned outdoor areas (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters).
• Make minor repairs to fences, gates, or walls as needed.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler systems.
• Adjust irrigation to optimize water use and prevent waste.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, and hedges with grounds maintenance tools.
• Mow or edge lawns with power mowers or edgers.
• Plant seeds, bulbs, and shrubs and apply mulch for protection.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE; report unsafe conditions.
• Address risk behaviors, stop unsafe actions.
• Respond to trouble calls and clean up spills.
• Communicate with coworkers, management, and customers about plant care or costs.
• May need to drive to multiple job sites for tasks.
• Provide information about landscaping services or costs.

Education

High school diploma / GED – preferred

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features
• Make minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or walls
• Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems
• Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment
• Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger
• Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws
• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment
• Stops at risk behaviors of others and self
• Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills
• Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers and advises on plant selection or care
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position
• Provide information about landscaping services or costs

Qualification

• Education and/ or Experience
• High school diploma / GED – preferred
• Six months related experience and/or training – preferred

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs
• Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements
• Completed all safety and task training certifications

Shifts and Compensation

Monday-Friday:7:00am-3:30pm $14.50-$15.50 per hour
