Job summary

29th Street Property Management in Denver, CO is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas across our multifamily communities. You will help prepare market-ready units, assist the maintenance team, and ensure safety and curb appeal throughout properties.

Experience in groundskeeping is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred; a valid driver’s license may be required for outdoor tasks and vehicle operations.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential apartments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
• Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments prior to make-ready.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager with assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist in the cleaning of vacant apartments and/or models.
• Assist Maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable).
• Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Meticulously maintains curb appeal.
• Assist management team with other various tasks required.
• Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
• Learn and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Be neat, clean and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
• Demonstrate ability to perform tasks described above without seeking outside contractor assistance.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills for communicating with residents, co-workers and senior management.
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of groundskeeping tools.
• Must have demonstrated ability to solve problems in a variety of practical situations and follow standardized procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Educational degree not required.
• At least one year of Groundskeeping experience preferred.
• English/Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles.
