Job summary

Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs seeks a dedicated Grounds Maintenance team member to uphold the beauty, safety, and cleanliness of the resort and villa grounds. You will perform mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and routine upkeep of hardscape and landscape features.

You will operate standard grounds equipment, assist with irrigation maintenance, and maintain daily shop cleanliness while delivering the brand's “I Am Proud” service standards.

Qualifications

• Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service or manual areas.
• Previous grounds maintenance experience valued but not required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics of the grounds and villas areas.
• Mow, trim, blow, edge, and care for turf and flower beds.
• Operate and maintain turf equipment following safety guidelines.
• Greet guests and provide service aligned with brand standards.

Job description

Position Purpose & Summary

Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appearance of the resort and villas grounds areas by performing a diverse range of activities involved in grounds maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Mowing trimming and blowing of all turf areas around the resort.
• Planting weeding mulching all flower beds around the resort.
• Sweeps or blows roadside, walkways, parking lots and tennis courts.
• Edging of walkways, flowerbeds, and curbs throughout the property.
• Operate and maintain utility vehicles and equipment, following standards and safety guidelines.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

• Use of many common grounds maintenance power tools including mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.
• Use of hand tools including rakes, brooms, shovels, sod knifes etc.
• Power washing all hardscape areas.
• Assists with irrigation system repairs and maintenance.
• Daily shop upkeep and cleanliness.
• Perform any other such duties, as assigned.
• Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.

Position Requirements

• Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service or manual areas
• Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Previous grounds maintenance experience valued but not required.
• License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License.
