Job summary

Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms, hallways, balconies, and porches to property standards. You will stock rooms, report maintenance issues, and assist guests with a courteous, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning of rooms, restocking amenities, and supporting housekeeping operations. This role requires teamwork and a focus on providing the signature Garden of the Gods service standards.

Qualifications

Must have basic knowledge of room cleaning.
Some experience with housekeeping beneficial but not required.
Valid Driver's License is required.
CPR, Food Protection Manager, Food Handler, and Alcohol Server/Seller certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

Picks up extra cleaning supplies in the Housekeeping Department.
Cleans assigned rooms daily according to standards.
Restocks items in rooms and bathrooms as needed.
Reports maintenance problems to Supervisor/Engineering.
Ensure service areas are stocked and clean at all times.
Vacuum floors, bathrooms, bedrooms, corridors, stairs, and lifts.
Provide courteous guest assistance and deliver items as needed.
May perform regular deep cleaning of hotel areas.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant Position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest room hallways, rooms, balconies and porches to the property standards.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant Position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest room hallways, rooms, balconies and porches to the property standards.

Essential Functions

Picks up extra cleaning and guest room supplies in the Housekeeping Department.
Cleans assigned quota of rooms daily according to standards.
Always maintains a clean and neat area.
Restock/replace items in rooms and bathrooms for guest use that have run out of stock or need replacement
Reports all maintenance problems to Supervisor / Engineering.
Ensure service area is well stocked with necessary products and cleaned always.
Stocks area for next day
Vacuum bathrooms, bedrooms floors, corridors, stairs, and lifts to remove all debris; check the vacuum cleaner every day and if necessary, change the bag
Offers assistance to guests in a courteous manner.
Reports and delivers lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.
Provides intuitive service to guests during stayover to anticipate needs.
May perform regular deep cleaning of all areas of hotel as instructed.
Ability to solve problems relating to guests, with strong customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team setting, providing support to co-workers whenever called upon to offer assistance
Delivers items to guest rooms and closets as needed.
Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Position Requirements

Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
Must have basic knowledge of room cleaning.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
Some experience with the ABC's of housekeeping and room cleaning is beneficial but not required.
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Valid Driver's License
Availability:
Must have variable availability.

Daily Communicate with guests, supervisor, housemen, laundry and front desk
Occasionally Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions.

Environmental Factors

Environmental factors may include indoor and outdoor settings with overhead lighting and outdoor lighting. Significant portions (more than 80%) of daily assignments involve standing, bending, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling and application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., cleaning with brushes, rags, vacuum, mop and other machine operations. May occasionally be called upon to work in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possibly in inclement weather.
