Job summary

Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is seeking a Greenskeeper to maintain the aesthetics and playability of the golf course. You will perform mowing, edging, bunker care, irrigation assistance, and course setup to ensure optimal turf conditions.

The role requires basic manual skills, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and guest service as part of the "I Am Proud" service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service or manual areas.
• Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Previous golf maintenance experience valued but not required.
• License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Valid Driver's License

Position Purpose & Summary

The Greenskeeper maintain the aesthetics and playability of the golf course by performing a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance.

The Greenskeeper maintain the aesthetics and playability of the golf course by performing a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Maintains golf course using power and hand tools to perform duties such as: mowing, weeding, edging, course set up, raking sand bunkers, blowing, sod installation, fertilizing, planting flowers and shrubs.
• Operate and maintain utility vehicles and equipment, following standards and safety guidelines.
• Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, approaches, step cut and rough.
• Rake sand bunkers by hand or with power rake.
• String trim around trees, bunkers, flowerbeds, signs, ball washers etc.
• Golf course set up.
• Maintain flowerbeds.
• Aerate greens, tees, fairways, approaches and rough.
• Assist in small irrigation and drainage projects.
• Edge cart paths, bunkers, irrigation heads, flowerbeds, and yardage stones.
• Daily shop upkeep and cleanliness.
• Perform any other such duties, as assigned.
• Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.
