Job summary

SPM, LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of our residential communities. You will perform grounds care, assist with light maintenance, and help ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, welcoming, and well-kept for residents and guests.

We value dependable, detail-oriented team players who can lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in diverse weather, and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience or working knowledge of grounds care and basic maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Dependable, motivated, detail-oriented team player with good communication.
• Positive attitude and cooperative approach to the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds to ensure a clean, well-kept appearance.
• Pick up debris and keep outdoor areas tidy.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks when needed.
• Complete service requests promptly and efficiently (within 24 hours).
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
• Support the Property Manager and Maintenance Team as needed.

Position Overview

As our Groundskeeper, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property. You’ll help create an inviting environment residents are proud to call home — through quality care, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining community grounds to ensure a clean, well-kept appearance
• Picking up debris and keeping all outdoor areas tidy
• Assisting with light maintenance tasks when needed
• Completing service requests promptly and efficiently (within 24 hours)
• Following OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
• Supporting the Property Manager and Maintenance Team as needed
