Job Description

Job Goal: To maintain the grounds of all district schools in a condition of safety, neatness, and aesthetic attractiveness.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, water, and trim lawns; assist in planting, transplanting, and fertilizing of plants and shrubs.
• Operate and maintain power mowers, power clippers, rototillers, weed eaters, and other maintenance equipment.
• Spray shrubs, trees, and lawns; assist in planting, transplanting, and fertilizing of plants and shrubs.
• Use hand tools to work soil and to remove weeds, undergrowth, and debris from school grounds and landscapes.
• Clean clogged sprinkler systems; help install sprinkler systems.
• Minor repairs and replacement of time clocks and water valves.
• Line athletic fields for track events, football and baseball games.
• Work with asphalt and cement installations.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate supervisor.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have valid AZ Drivers License.

Terms of Employment

Working Days: 12 Month At-Will Agreement; 10 hours per day, 4 days per week.
