Job summary

SUNY Delhi is seeking a hardworking, dependable student with landscaping experience to assist our Grounds Department. This on-campus role involves lawns, beds, and equipment care as well as winter snow tasks.

Duties include mowing, mulching, bed care, gazebo cleaning, and supporting grounds crews. The position requires a valid driver’s license, references, and full-time student status for 2026-2027.

Qualifications

• Maintain a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.
• Be in good judicial standing with the College.
• Must be a current SUNY Delhi student enrolled full time in the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Must have references.
• Valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be reachable after hours for these duties as well.

Responsibilities

• Push mowing and weed whacking of green areas.
• Mulching and weeding in plant beds.
• Cleans smoking gazebos.
• Assists in the cleaning, greasing and maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Assists with daily tasks as needed by movers.
• Assists with snow/ice control by shoveling and operating snow blowers.

Job Description:

SUNY Delhi is seeking a hardworking, dependable student with prior landscaping experience to assist our Grounds Department.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Push mowing and weed whacking of green areas
• Mulching and weeding in plant beds
• Cleans smoking gazebos
• Assists in the cleaning, greasing and maintenance of grounds equipment
• Assists the movers' positions with daily tasks when needed
• Assists with snow and ice control by shoveling, operating snow blowers and applying ice melt where there is little to no access with vehicles.

Requirements:

• Have and maintain a minimum of 2.00 cumulative GPA.
• Be in good judicial standing with the College.
• Must be a current SUNY Delhi student enrolled full time in classes for the 2026-2027academic year.
• Must have references.
• Valid driver's license.
• Applicants must be reachable after hours for these duties as well.
