Job summary

Unity Village in Missouri is seeking a landscape maintenance worker to keep grounds beautiful and safe. You will operate mowing equipment, perform daily maintenance, and help with planting and fertilizer application on a large campus.

This on-site role requires reliability, punctuality, and adherence to safety guidelines. You will input time using the company system and support campus patrons as needed; snow removal is a seasonal task.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 6 months landscape machinery experience.
• Good customer service skills to assist campus patrons.
• Missouri Chauffeurs license or willingness to obtain.
• Bucket truck certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment and perform daily maintenance.
• Perform routine mowing, weed eating, planting, and apply fertilizers.
• Maintain attendance and adhere to schedule; not remote.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.

Job description

Provide landscape maintenance service to maintain and beautify Unity Village grounds. Responsible for operation and maintenance of landscape and farm machinery.

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate mowing equipment and do daily adjustments and maintenance. Push and tractor mowers. Operate power hand tools. Operate tractors, brush hog mowers, plows, discs, planters, chain saws.
• Perform routine daily tasks including mowing, weed eating, planting and apply fertilizers or chemicals.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. – this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
• Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
• Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

• Snow removal, as needed.
• Work on call for after-hours duties (weekends and holidays) as required.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

• 18 years of age.
• 6 months of landscape machinery equipment and farm machinery experience.
• Good Customer service skills to assist campus patrons with directions or other requests.

Computer Skills:

Certificates & Licenses:

• Missouri Chauffeurs license or willing to obtain once employed.
• Bucket truck certification or willing to obtain once employed.
