The University of Guam (Uog) is seeking a Grounds Worker to perform general grounds maintenance and beautification across public areas. Responsibilities include maintaining facilities, operating tools, and performing repairs to ensure recreational spaces are well-kept.
This full-time position offers a salary range from $23,229 to $29,036 annually, contingent on qualifications. Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of general maintenance work experience.

Performs manual work involved in the general grounds, maintenance and beautification of public parks, recreational areas, public buildings, and related facilities.
Experience and Training:
None.
Ability to perform grounds maintenance work on public parks, public buildings, and recreational areas. Ability to maintain and make minor repairs on buildings, benches, tables, and other facilities within public parks and recreational areas. Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment used in the general maintenance and beautification of public parks and recreational areas. Ability to perform heavy manual work under unfavorable weather conditions. Ability to apply safe work practices on the job. Ability to work effectively with the public and employees. Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
Maintains and cares for lawns, hedges, trees, and shrubbery by cleaning, watering, fertilizing, trimming, mowing, sweeping and raking; performs general gardening work. Maintains and makes minor repairs on buildings, benches, tables, and other facilities located within public and recreational areas. Maintains football fields, baseball diamonds, and other recreational facilities. Operates hand and power tools and equipment used in the general maintenance and beautification of public parks and recreational areas. Applies safe work practices on the job. Performs related duties as required.
