Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support the crew, performing ground-based tasks such as clearing brush, loading materials, and assisting with site cleanup. The role involves operating hand tools and occasional driving, with dispatch by IBEW and emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, pass a background check and drug screen, and travel for storm restoration as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of dragging heavy limbs and using saws in uneven terrain.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is required.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions; must pass background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules
• Clear brush/undergrowth from right-of-way using hand tools
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, debris; feed brush to chipper
• Operate and maintain trucks and equipment; report major repairs
• Set up/break down road signs; flag traffic for safety
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed
