Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support crews by clearing brush from the ground, assisting with road signs, traffic flagging, and safe clean-up after jobs. The role emphasizes physical endurance and operating basic equipment while following strict safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience in vegetation management, landscaping, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use chain saw and pruners in uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Work from the ground to clear brush and undergrowth as directed and perform site clean-up.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance and report major repairs.
