Job summary

Professional Tree Care offers a Grounds-to-Climber Apprenticeship program for motivated, physically fit applicants. Trainees will learn knots, practice climbing, and assist teammates on weekends while working toward ISA certification.

Applicants must have a current CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, a GED/high school diploma, and be able to lift 50 pounds. The position is based in Martinez, CA with a 45‑minute commute from Richmond.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds and hoist/pull into a tree using ropes.
• Must have a California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must work outdoors year‑round in Northern California weather.
• Must be able to work up to 8 hours per day and be not afraid of heights.
