GSF Properties Inc. in Madera, CA is seeking a dependable Grounds & Maintenance Technician II to maintain an 81-unit apartment community. You will handle groundskeeping, service requests, apartment turns, and general repairs to keep the property clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

Salary is $22.50/hour with a Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule and on-call rotation as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, paid holidays, and vacation time.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years apartment maintenance experience.
• Experience with unit turns and work orders.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds, landscaping, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Complete work orders and resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform apartment turns, including painting, cleaning, and general repairs.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs.
• Maintain property curb appeal and cleanliness standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with trash management and community upkeep.
• Support the maintenance team with preventative maintenance projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors.

In this dual-role position, you'll help maintain and improve our 81-unit apartment community by performing groundskeeping, completing service requests, assisting with apartment turns, and ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

Your work will play a vital role in preserving the appearance, functionality, and overall success of the community while providing excellent service to our residents every day.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $22.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• On-call rotation required as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Experience with unit turns, work orders, and general apartment maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• Able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
