Job summary

Collier County is seeking a landscape and grounds maintenance worker to perform tasks across parks, athletic fields, and public spaces. You will mow grass, edge areas, plant and maintain trees and shrubs, weed flower beds, remove debris, and operate equipment as needed to keep grounds safe and attractive.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), fingerprinting, and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Fingerprinting required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with endorsements to drive County vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, edges landscaped areas, plants and maintains trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Weeds flower beds, irrigates and maintains grounds; disposes of debris and litter.
• Operates machinery and clean/maintains equipment; transports materials to sites.
• Monitors inventory and requests replacement materials; follows safety procedures.
