Job summary

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY is seeking a Park Maintenance Technician to perform manual labor across parks, grounds, and facilities. You will mow, weed, rake, and prepare athletic fields, install turf, and handle routine repairs and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include operating various vehicles, reporting on daily activities, and assisting in public guidance of facility use. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of semi-skilled maintenance work are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• One (1) year of semi-skilled maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, fields and parks by mowing, weeding, tilling, raking, digging and other manual tasks.
• Prepares fields for athletic activities such as lining and raking.
• Installs turf and seeds on fields and grounds.
• Maintains equipment and facilities via manual labor and semi-skilled tasks.
• Performs litter control, cleans restrooms, and sets up picnic areas.
