Job summary

Indianapolis-Marion County Building Authority is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain grounds and landscapes under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor. The role requires mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation work, and assisting with snow removal across multiple properties.

The position involves driving to sites with lawn care equipment, operating pumps and fountains, and complying with EPA regulations and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of landscaping knowledge and prior experience.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to swim.
• Familiarity with maintenance equipment and basic repairs.
• Familiarity with CMMS software/computers.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, prune, water, and spray lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs at all properties.
• Assist planting and mulching around beds; maintain irrigation and pumps.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and salt spreading; keep walkways clear.
• Maintain pumps and fountains; perform preventative maintenance.
• Drive to properties with equipment; follow safety and regulations.
