Farmington Municipal Schools is seeking a Grounds Worker to maintain yards and grounds, repair sprinkler systems, fences and playground equipment. The role includes cleaning exterior areas and performing concrete work as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and up to four years of grounds/maintenance experience, with the ability to work independently and reports to the Grounds Supervisor/Plant Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years experience in grounds and maintenance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Keep grass mowed, bushes trimmed, etc.
• Plant as needed and install/maintain outdoor equipment (playgrounds, sports fields).
• Paint parking lots and keep exterior of building clean and free of trash, snow, rubbish.
• Install and maintain sprinkler systems; repair fences as needed and report more extensive repairs.
• Weed exterior areas and perform concrete work for sidewalks; troubleshoot systems.
• Maintain tools and other equipment; deliver custodial supplies.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.
