Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead, schedule, and audit operations across a 160-acre Fort Gordon facility in Georgia. The role manages labor, routes, fleet assets, and chemical applications with strict safety and compliance standards.

You will supervise in-house crews and external subcontractors, enforce OSHA guidelines, track chemical logs, and maintain equipment records while coordinating with the Environmental Safety and Health Manager.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in commercial grounds management, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of warm-season turf agronomy (Zoysia and Bermuda) and automated irrigation troubleshooting.
• Georgia pesticide applicator license is highly desired; valid driver’s license mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Direct a multi-person crew across a structured weekly rotation to meet landscaping requirements.
• Schedule and verify chemical barrier windows and application logs with safety thresholds.
• Audit and monitor subcontractors, reviewing Chemical Application Logs within 24 hours of treatment.
• Oversee fleet deployment and maintain equipment logs and parts inventory.
• Enforce OSHA safety guidelines and heat index monitoring protocols.
