Job summary

Amentum is seeking a reliable Grounds Maintenance Laborer to join our Facility Services team at Fort Gordon, Georgia. This hands-on role involves mowing, trimming, weed pulling, debris sweeping, and seasonal winterization across a 160-acre site.

You will operate commercial lawn equipment (52" zero-turn mowers, 42" finish mowers, 30" walk-behind units), perform pre-trip checks, and assist with basic pruning and planting.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in commercial landscaping, groundskeeping, or industrial facility maintenance is preferred.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to perform strenuous manual labor outdoors daily in hot summer conditions.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required to operate facility transport utility machines.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, weed pull, sweep debris, and seasonally winterize facilities across a 160-acre site.
• Operate commercial lawn equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
• Prune and plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and mulch; shape vegetation as needed.
• Perform pre-trip safety checks and assist with shop maintenance and basic equipment upkeep.
