The City of Akron is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operator I to support Akron Public Schools. The role includes operating heavy equipment, maintaining grounds, and performing seasonal snow removal.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of grounds maintenance experience, plus a valid Ohio CDL Class A or the ability to obtain one. Candidates will be considered through a competitive civil service exam process.

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of paid grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Ohio CDL Class A with combo truck/trailer or the ability to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Remove or repair items outside; plow snow; mow grass; operate heavy equipment.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Lead labor duties such as digging, concrete work, painting, and equipment repair.
