Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Groundskeeper responsible for maintaining the facility grounds using power equipment and hand tools. The role requires operating weed eaters, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers, along with hand tools and routine landscaping tasks.

The ideal candidate has some landscaping experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong time management to complete assignments efficiently. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment including weed eater, trimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers.
• Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
• Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
• Excellent time management skills.
• On-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

• Trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.
• Pick up sticks
• Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
