Job summary

Winvian Farm LLC, a Relais & Châteaux luxury resort in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, seeks a reliable Grounds Maintenance Technician. This full-time, hands-on role maintains beauty, safety, and functionality of cottages, facilities, and grounds, with a focus on timely repairs and seasonal upkeep.

You will operate mowers and power tools, perform painting and basic carpentry, and collaborate with a small team to keep the property in pristine condition.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs.
• Previous maintenance or grounds experience required.
• Experience with painting and power equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across guest cottages, facilities, and grounds
• Complete routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems
• Handle painting, minor carpentry, and basic plumbing/electrical tasks
• Operate landscaping and maintenance equipment (mowers, tractors, power tools)
• Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including grounds care and snow removal
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Identify and report safety hazards or repair needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to support overall property operations
