Job description

Greek Peak Mountain Resort is seeking a passionate Grounds Maintenance Technician—also known as a Weed Whacker Extraordinaire—to help keep resort grounds pristine and welcoming all year round.

What You’ll Do

• Tame the terrain with mowing, weed whacking, edging, and trimming to keep lawns and landscapes healthy and sharp.
• Maintain flower beds, walkways, and parking areas by removing weeds, overgrowth, and debris.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and other machinery.
• Monitor grass health, apply fertilizer or pest control, and support seasonal lawn care efforts.
• Assist with spring/fall clean‑up, mulching, light snow removal, and storm debris removal as needed.
• Identify hazards or areas needing repair and report them promptly.
• Contribute to beautification projects, event setup, or small landscaping installations.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in team meetings and training sessions.

What You Bring

• You’re at least 18 years old.
• Experience with outdoor grounds work, landscaping, or lawn care.
• Familiarity with small landscaping machinery and tools.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work early mornings and weekends in all types of weather.
• A valid driver’s license and a “get‑it‑done” attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, and use of power equipment.
• Comfortable working on uneven terrain and in changing outdoor weather conditions.
