Job summary

Gulfstream Goodwill Industries in Okeechobee, FL is seeking a Ground Maintenance Laborer to maintain grounds and facilities under the Okeechobee Waterways contract. This role performs landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and general labor while operating equipment safely.

Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, planting, fertilizer application, debris removal, repairs to fences and signs, and routine cleaning.

Qualifications

Follows written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance practices.
Valid Florida driver's license preferred or required when operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns with commercial equipment.
Trim hedges, shrubs, trees, and vegetation for a neat appearance.
Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain turf and landscaped areas.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides per policy and regulations.
Remove litter and debris from properties.
Load, unload, transport, and organize equipment and materials.
Assist with repairs of fences, signs, benches, gates, sidewalks, and related structures.
Perform general cleaning of parking lots, sidewalks, facilities, restrooms, and work areas.
