Job summary

Gulfstream Goodwill Industries is seeking a Temporary Ground Maintenance Laborer to maintain outdoor grounds and facilities under the Okeechobee Waterways contract. The role involves mowing, trimming, planting, and general labor while operating equipment safely and efficiently.

You will work independently and as part of a team, with emphasis on attention to detail, reliability, and safety. Florida driver's license preferred for vehicle operation, and PPE/OSHA compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Valid Florida Driver's License preferred or required when operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns using mowers and trimmers.
• Trim hedges, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain turf and landscaped areas.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides per company policies.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize equipment and materials.
• Perform general cleaning of parking lots and facilities.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.
