Job summary

GSF Properties Inc. is seeking a Grounds & Maintenance Technician II in Madera, CA to perform upkeep across 81-unit community. You will handle unit turnovers, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and maximize curb appeal in common areas, grounds, and parking areas.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call as needed. Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation required. 2+ years of related maintenance experience and strong customer service skills are essential for

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance or related experience.
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and general repairs (plumbing a plus).
Basic computer skills and ability to use web-based systems.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call as needed.
Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in Madera, CA.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Manager and Portfolio Manager to maintain grounds and facilities.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on appliances, carpentry, hardware, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Complete service requests and work orders promptly per company standards.
Prepare vacant units to be market-ready and meet quality expectations.
Maintain community grounds, curb appeal, and common areas including trash management.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies when required.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, team members, and vendors.
Assist with annual unit inspections and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
Report lease violations and community concerns to management.
Coordinate with management to schedule vendors and order supplies.
