Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is hiring a full-time grounds maintenance worker at Lackland - Medina Annex in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on lawn care, trimming, and debris removal in support of the organization’s mission and community programs.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and 6+ months of experience with landscaping tools. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with competitive pay and benefits typical for the Goodwill network.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid driver’s license.
• 6+ months of landscaping experience preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass to specific requirements using a push mower.
• Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from the work site and dispose of trash at collection point.
• Operate grass/weed trimmer in slopes, canals, ditches, rough terrain, ramps or drop-offs.
• Use backpack blower to clear surfaced areas.
• Trim hedges and shrubs and edge sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaced areas.
• Maintain fence lines and remove vines from fences.
• Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles; perform basic service maintenance.
• Follow all safety requirements and wear proper safety equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions.
