Job summary

Haynes Development — Property Management in Oxford, CT seeks a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee landscaping, snow removal, and grounds operations across Quarry Walk and other Haynes properties. You will lead one Grounds Maintenance Technician, manage vendor performance, and ensure quality control under the Facilities and Property Manager.

The role requires solid contractor management, knowledge of grounds maintenance, CapEx planning, safety standards, and on-call responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Solid experience managing outside contractors/vendors.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance, snow/ice management, CapEx planning, and safety standards.
• Ability to respond to on-call/emergency situations as needed.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage landscaping and snow removal contracts and vendor performance.
• Full oversight of all outside maintenance — grounds, walkways, parking areas, exterior common areas.
• Manage the overall operations for property maintenance, quality control, upkeep and logistics for grounds maintenance.
• Supervise one full-time Grounds Maintenance Technician and coordinate maintenance activities (mowing, cleanups, pruning).
• Communicate with main office and Property Management staff.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets standards.
• Respond to weather-related and emergency outdoor conditions.
• Identify, plan, and manage CapEx projects related to outside facilities.
• Coordinate budgets and financial planning with the Facilities and Property Manager.
