Job summary

TRDI Incorporated in Fort Cavazos is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public properties including buildings, camps, parks and athletic fields. You will perform mowing, trimming, edging and general landscape upkeep to ensure safe, presentable environments.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to OSHA and company policies while supporting repair of roads, walkways and related facilities as directed by the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses and athletic fields.
• Repair structures and equipment, performing mowing, trimming hedges and edges around curbs and walkways, maintaining flowerbeds.
• Perform snow and/or ice control on walk areas around government buildings to ensure safety.
• Plant grass, flowers and shrubs, water lawns, remove litter, repair fences, gates, benches and outbuildings.
• Remove unwanted trees and place mulch on plants.
• Assist in fertilizing or applying herbicides to lawn, shrubs and trees using spreader or sprayer.
• Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment; clean restrooms and offices.
• Follow OSHA and company safety rules and regulations; wear required PPE.
• Adhere to OPSEC and safety procedures and policies.
• Maintain site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) per EM 385-1-1.
• Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor.
