Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Grounds Keeper to maintain the grounds of properties using hand or power tools and equipment. Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, pruning, trash removal, and minor repairs to fences and walls.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, ability to drive to various sites, and a typical Monday–Friday 7:00AM–3:30PM shift with a wage of $14.50–$15.50 per hour. A valid driver’s license may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED – preferred.
• Six months related experience and/or training – preferred.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
• Make minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or walls.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems.
• Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment.
• Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger.
• Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
