Challenge Enterprises of North Florida is seeking a dependable Grounds Maintenance Worker for NAS Jacksonville Fleet Readiness Center. The role is part-time, 8:00 am–12:00 pm, Monday–Friday, up to 29 hours weekly, with a pay rate of $17.94 per hour.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, weed-eating, debris removal, and seasonal duties while maintaining safe, outdoor work practices. The ideal candidate can work independently with limited supervision, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Clean driving record for the previous three years.
• Ability to pass required background screening.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and humidity during summer months and cold in winter months.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, weed, remove debris to maintain neat exterior areas.
• Spread mulch, grass clippings, and fertilizer per seasonal guidance.
• Fill holes, ruts, and depressions to maintain even surfaces.
• Sweep and bag trash and debris; perform seasonal grounds tasks as assigned.
• Operate gas- and electric-powered equipment and follow safety procedures.
