Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring a Grounds Lead at Prairie View, TX. The role leads a small team, trains staff, and performs skilled groundskeeping tasks in line with a school district environment.

The position runs full-time from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $14.00–$17.50 per hour. Eligible benefits, growth opportunities, and same-day pay are highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Two years of team-leading grounds management experience.
• Ability to operate grounds-related equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 25 pounds and kneel/bend for extended periods.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Leads a small grounds team and assigns tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Maintains ornamental landscapes, lawns, shrubs, and color displays.
• Operates and maintains groundskeeping power equipment as needed.
• Coordinates trash/debris removal and cleanliness of parking areas.
• Responds to emergencies and adverse weather events as required.
