Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and care for outdoor spaces, keeping lawns neat, safe, and inviting. The role involves mowing, edging, hedge trimming, irrigation work, and basic repairs, with seasonal duties including snow removal.

The position requires basic tools proficiency, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A High School diploma or GED is preferred, along with a Class E License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Class E License.
• Prior groundskeeping experience helpful but not required.
• Positive service attitude toward team members, visitors, and customers.
• Ability to use hand tools, power equipment and groundskeeping chemicals safely.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility and reliability as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for grounds to keep them neat, safe and inviting.
• Mow, edge, trim hedges, and perform lawn care tasks.
• Identify and suggest landscaping design ideas to the Grounds Supervisor.
• Prepare beds, seed or transplant, and manage soil and fertilizer as needed.
• Install and repair irrigation, drains, fences, and related features.
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and keep accurate records.
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal outdoor maintenance.
