Job Summary: Performs manual labor associated with grounds maintenance and landscaping operations for a business and other properties according to contract specifications. This is a seasonal position, with work starting on April 1 and ending in Nov/Dec each year.

Job Details:

• SHIFT: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Hourly Rate: $18.08
• SEASONAL - March through December

Essential Functions:

• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and contract specifications.
• Maintain grounds around buildings, including turf, shrubs, ground cover, and trees at APG and Edgewood locations.
• Support recreation and special events as needed.
• Identify and transport equipment and supplies for each job.
• Drive on base following all rules, maintaining a valid driver’s license.
• Perform landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and installing new landscape features.
• Remove debris, storm damage, and maintain water features and courtyards.
• Operate equipment properly, adhere to dress and hygiene standards, and comply with security procedures.

Physical Abilities:

• Stand or walk for long periods, work on uneven surfaces, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work in various weather conditions and positions.

Job Competencies:

• Work independently, follow directions, and report issues.
• Use and care for equipment, follow safety procedures, and work flexibly.
• Communicate effectively and work courteously with others.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year minimum and acceptable driving record.
• English speaking and comprehension skills; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred: landscaping experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and disabilities are a plus.

Essential Personnel: This position is essential; employees may be required to report to work during emergencies to ensure ongoing operations.
