Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center is seeking a friendly Grounds & Grains Team Member to deliver exceptional service, crafted beverages, and fresh food to our hospital community. You’ll support café operations, prepare menu items, and help fuel caregivers, patients, visitors, and staff throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, hospitality, retail, café, or customer service environments preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe or Food Handlers certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Craft espresso drinks and other beverages with consistency and care.
• Prepare and serve made-to-order menu items.
• Restock grab-and-go foods and merchandise.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to hospital staff, patients, visitors, and guests.
• Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean, sanitary food prep and service areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards.
• Assist opening, closing, stocking, and daily café operations.
• Support Nutrition Services team initiatives.

Logan Health is looking for a friendly and dependable Grounds & Grains Team Member to bring exceptional service, handcrafted beverages, and fresh food offerings to our hospital community. In this role, you’ll support café operations by creating quality food and beverage experiences while helping fuel caregivers, patients, visitors, and staff throughout the day. What You’ll Be Doing

• Craft espresso drinks, coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with consistency and care
• Prepare and serve made‑to‑order menu items including pizzas, sandwiches, bagels, breakfast items, and other café offerings
• Restock and merchandise grab‑and‑go food, snacks, pastries, and beverages to maintain an appealing and well‑stocked café
• Deliver outstanding customer service to hospital staff, patients, visitors, and guests
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system and accurately process customer transactions
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation and service areas
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and other daily café operations
• Support Nutrition Services team initiatives and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment

Who You Are

• Friendly, dependable, and motivated to create a positive experience for every guest
• Comfortable preparing both beverages and simple food items in a fast‑paced environment
• Experienced in food service, hospitality, retail, café, or customer service environments (preferred)
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently when needed
• Comfortable using technology, including point‑of‑sale systems and basic computer applications
• Certified in ServSafe or Food Handlers—or willing to obtain certification within six months of hire

Shift: Variable - 10 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: 40 hours a week, 4 10- hour Variable shifts including weekend and holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
