Job summary

You will apply pesticides per procedures, manage turf and landscape tasks, and assist with irrigation systems and equipment maintenance. A valid license and driver’s license are required, with duties including event preparation and occasional snow removal.

Qualifications

• WSDA Public Operator License covering turf/ornamental weed, rights-of-way weed, ornamental insect and disease control, and PCO general licenses. Licenses required within 90 days of employment.
• Turf management certificate or equivalent training/experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required on first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains district grounds and athletic fields to keep areas attractive and safe.
• Applies pesticides following district procedures and turf management strategies.
• Prepares fields, tracks, courts for events and supervises outdoor maintenance activities.
• Monitors and repairs irrigation and sprinkler systems as needed.
• Operates grounds keeping equipment and performs routine maintenance and minor repairs.
