Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a General Grounds Technician to perform diverse grounds maintenance tasks, including lawn care, plantings, and facility repairs. The role involves operating a broad range of equipment to support safe school environments.

The position requires valid licenses/certifications (Pesticide, Fork Lift with Aerial) and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in all outdoor maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• An acceptable driving record based on an approved driver's abstract (or MVR).
• Driver's license verification and validation.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Fork Lift with Aerial and Boom Truck License.
• Pesticide License with Herbicidal, Insecticidal, Aquatic, and Right of Way Endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of basic grounds maintenance tasks including lawn and athletic field care.
• Construct and repair grounds facilities; plant, transplant, prune, fertilize, and spray pests.
• Operate a wide range of equipment and vehicles to complete duties; assist with concrete, asphalt, drainage, and playground work.
