Northampton Community College is seeking a Grounds (Custodian) to maintain campus grounds and building interiors. Responsibilities include mowing, planting care, snow removal, floor care, cleaning of restrooms, windows, and completing routine maintenance.

The role supports a safe, clean, welcoming environment for students and staff. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license, with at least three years of custodial or grounds experience.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High school graduate or equivalency; Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and supplies; basic maintenance knowledge; able to follow written and oral instructions; able to operate snow-removal equipment and work outdoors in weather conditions.
• Experience: Minimum of three years in custodial services or grounds maintenance.

Aufgaben

• Perform grounds upkeep: mowing, seeding, fertilizing, pruning, watering, etc.; operate vehicles and equipment; remove debris; manage snow/ice removal; maintain outdoor athletic areas.
• Perform building upkeep: floor care, cleaning, waxing, window cleaning, furniture care, restrooms, and reporting repairs; assist with room setup.
• Operate campus vehicles for deliveries; assist with starting vehicles; support special assignments reflecting institutional goals.
