Work Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Job Summary: Reporting to the assigned department leader, this role is responsible for maintaining the grounds of an assigned portion of the campus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Cut lawns, trim and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth; remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs
• Clean grounds and remove litter
• Plant trees and shrubs
• Clean out drainage ditches and culverts
• Operate front-end loader and backhoe
• Make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower and spreader

Service Excellence

• Attend the workplace regularly, report to work punctually, and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Complete all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Support the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision

Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED and three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skilled with operating motor driven equipment and mechanically inclined
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
