Job summary

Bowling Green State University is seeking personnel to perform groundskeeping, recycling, and delivering/moving duties on campus. You will operate powered equipment and hand tools, care for plantings, and assist with setup for events.

The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain a valid driver's license. Prior groundskeeping experience is valued, with a willingness to work independently under directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundskeeping, recycling, and delivering/moving duties.
• Pick up, transport and unload trash and recycling into appropriate containers.
• Operate powered equipment including trimmers, edgers, mowers, blowers, tractors and trucks.
• Use hand tools including shovels, brooms, rakes, hoes, trimmers, etc.
• Plant and care for flowers and shrubs, trim bushes, pull weeds, edge and mulch planting beds, lay sod.
• Load/unload trucks, deliver, move, or pickup materials to and from assigned areas.
• Assist groundskeepers in performance of their duties.
• Complete other special projects as assigned.
• Setup/take down equipment for special events and functions, assemble/disassemble furniture/equipment.
