Job summary

Native Oaks Golf Club, part of Troon, located in Valley Center, CA, is seeking a dedicated Grounds Crew member. Qualifications

• Ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Ability to create spray programs for various areas of the golf course.
• Must operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Dependable and skilled in general ground preparation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized work areas on the golf course.
• Mow greens, aprons, fairways, and roughs.
• Water tees, greens, and fairways using irrigation heads.
• Repair irrigation systems, pipes, and heads as needed.
• Grade, prepare soil base, and lay sod or seeds.
• Trim and prune hedges and shrubbery.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers responsibly.

Pay Scale

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred
• Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
• Ability to give oral and written instructions
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
