Job summary

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is seeking a dependable Grounds Crew member to help maintain the golf course and surrounding landscapes, ensuring the property delivers the high-level guest experience our AAA Four Diamond resort is known for. You will operate mowing equipment, trim edges, apply lawn treatments, rake sand traps, and keep ball washers and signage stocked.

You must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with lawn care tasks (mowing, trimming, edges, planting, watering, fertilizing) preferred.
• Flexible availability; weekends and holidays required.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks efficiently.
• Ability to stand/walk/bend/squat for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must work with minimal supervision and outdoors in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees.
• Trim and edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, and features.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed.
• Rake and level sand traps; ensure debris-free and well-shaped traps.
• Restock ball washers and verify signage; tidy course areas.
• Remove leaves and debris; perform other duties as assigned.
• Work outside in extreme heat or cold conditions.

What will you be doing?

• Operate various types of mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees at the desired height and appearance
• Trim and edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, sand traps, and other features to maintain a clean and polished look
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to maintain plant health and appearance
• Rake and level sand traps, ensuring they are free of debris and properly shaped
• Ensure all areas of the course are ready for golfers, including restocking ball washers and ensuring signage is accurate
• Remove leaves, branches, and other debris from the course to maintain a tidy appearance
• Ability to work outside in both extreme hot and cold weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

What do you bring to the role?

• Familiarity with lawn care tasks (lawn mowing, landscaping, grounds keeping, grounds maintenance, weed-eating, trimming, raking, debris blowing, hand weeding, garbage/litter pick up, planting, watering, fertilizing, etc.) preferred
• Flexible availability, must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to multitask and efficiently complete tasks
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and kneel continuously and lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Comfort with mechanical equipment
