Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI seeks a Grounds Crew member to support golf course maintenance and landscape management. You will operate mowing equipment, trim around features, and apply treatments to keep the course pristine and ready for golfers.

Ideal candidates are familiar with lawn care duties, can lift 50 lbs, and work in extreme weather with minimal supervision. Weekend availability and a passion for outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with lawn care tasks (mowing, landscaping, grounds maintenance, weed-eating, trimming, raking, debris blowing, hand weeding, garbage pickup, planting, watering, fertilizing).
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Comfort with operating mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees at desired height.
• Trim and edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, sand traps for a polished look.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed.
• Rake and level sand traps, ensure proper shaping and debris removal.
• Ensure all areas are golf-ready, restock ball washers, verify signage.
• Remove leaves and debris; maintain tidy course.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat or cold.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Operate various types of mowing equipment to maintain fairways, greens, roughs, and tees at the desired height and appearance

Trim and edge around trees, shrubs, pathways, sand traps, and other features to maintain a clean and polished look

Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed to maintain plant health and appearance

Rake and level sand traps, ensuring they are free of debris and properly shaped

Ensure all areas of the course are ready for golfers, including restocking ball washers and ensuring signage is accurate

Remove leaves, branches, and other debris from the course to maintain a tidy appearance

Ability to work outside in both extreme hot and cold weather conditions

Perform other duties as assigned

What do you bring to the role?

Familiarity with lawn care tasks (lawn mowing, landscaping, grounds keeping, grounds maintenance, weed-eating, trimming, raking, debris blowing, hand weeding, garbage/litter pick up, planting, watering, fertilizing, etc.) preferred

Flexible availability, must be able to work weekends and holidays

Ability to multitask and efficiently complete tasks

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and kneel continuously and lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Comfort with mechanical equipment
