Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a Groundperson to assist in gathering and feeding brush and debris into a woodchipper while scanning for trip hazards and keeping the travel path clear. You will also help maintain tools and equipment used on-site.

The role includes operating a chainsaw for brush clearing, feeding material into the chipper, and performing routine vehicle and equipment maintenance. A pre-employment drug screen and background/MVR checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chipper.
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
