Job summary

Lewis Services is seeking a Groundperson to join our outdoor vegetation management crew. You will support tree crews by clearing vegetation around power lines, operating tools like chainsaws and chippers, and assisting climbers from the ground with tool handling and rigging.

Travel to multiple sites is common, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Applicants should possess a Groundperson certification or be able to obtain it, and hold a valid driver's license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification or ability to obtain it.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certification provided by Lewis or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Clear vegetation around power lines and work sites.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, blowers and sprayers.
• Assist climbers from the ground, hand up tools, use hand lines.
• Rig and fell trees; ensure safety of crew and public.
• Travel to multiple job sites and participate in safety briefings.
